Diversity Statement
One of the Taproot Foundation’s core values is dynamic collaboration which is produced through having a diversity of perspectives, skills and experiences come together to achieve shared goals. We work with an eye toward always making diversity an asset for the Taproot Foundation be it at the staff, board, volunteer and nonprofit client level. We know that diversity is central to innovation, essential to achieving our mission and critical to our relevance. We recognize all aspects of diversity and strive to fairly represent all communities.
Taproot Foundation defines diversity by moving beyond visible attributes such as race, ethnicity, age or gender to also consider and include the non-visible attributes such as background, profession, skill sets and life experiences. To be successful, Taproot Foundation must be a diverse organization and represent all of the communities being served. This includes ensuring Taproot Foundation has representation from nonprofits and for-profits at the leadership levels.
