At the end of 2014, Taproot Foundation launched a tech platform with the goal of making high-quality business pro bono accessible to social change organizations regardless of location, budget, or staff size. Over the past 6 years, Taproot’s lean nonprofit team has utilized the agile methodology to keep costs low while scaling the impact of an innovative tech platform.
During this session, originally presented during the 2021 Nonprofit Technology Conference, you’ll hear lessons learned from our tech platform’s creator and current Product Director. They share best practices for nonprofit use of agile for program development and growth, while operating with a lean team.
The Taproot team is joined during this session by the leader of a small start-up nonprofit, ReBirth Empowerment Education (REE). Alongside a volunteer partner that they connected with through Taproot, REE provides insights from how their team has leaned on tech to meet rising community needs without breaking the budget.
