Remember 9/11 by Volunteering Your Skills

September 11, 2001, will always be remembered as a day of tragedy, but just six months after the deadly attacks, David Paine and Jay Winuk decided to change the way we commemorate the day and the lives lost. They created a nonprofit, 9/11 Day, whose goal is to “transform the anniversary of the attacks into a national day of service and unity.” 9/11 Day is now the nation’s largest day of service recognized under federal law. Every year, more than 30 million people observe September 11 through service and by performing good deeds to help others.

How can you serve on 9/11? Become a skilled volunteer!

The nonprofit 9/11 Day primarily focuses on hunger relief, but the day is about doing good in any way. On Taproot Plus, we have thousands of ways you can give back. Here are just a few:

Are you interested in copywriting?

Want to use your website development or design skills for good?

Are you an accounting or financial expert?

Do you have other professional skills to share? Remember that nonprofits need your help every day.

Every day is a day of service at Taproot!
