Create Social Media Posts to Promote an Online Civic Engagement Game
We need a volunteer copywriter to produce social media posts/videos to promote our online civics engagement game VerifyIt! (playverifyit.org). We are a small local chapter of a national organization looking to spread our message to young and first-time voters. Your work can make a real impact in promoting civic engagement among these groups and educating them on important issues.
You'll work with our LWV coordinator and social marketing professional to draft, edit, and schedule posts using Social Pilot scheduling software. We are seeking experienced and creative individuals to work alongside our volunteer social media coordinator to craft compelling copy for posts and create eye-catching visual content that sparks conversation and drives engagement.
The LWVA needs an experienced content creator to help promote our online civic engagement game to teachers, administrators, and social media influencers in the education arena. We're looking for talented volunteers to write engaging copy and offer their creative ideas to help create a buzz about this free, fun, interactive learning tool. The League is passionate about educating young and first-time voters and helping them to become well-informed citizens. With your help, we hope to share this educational tool with educators across the country and help them to encourage civic learning.
Ideally, you should have experience with copywriting and digital publishing using 3rd party scheduling software, as well as a commitment to helping promote civic engagement among young and first-time voters.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Generating ideas for topics and content to promote VerifyIt!
- Writing clear marketing copy to promote the game
- Scheduling posts, stories, and videos for our social media platforms
If you have a passion for producing creative online content and improving civic understanding among young and first-time voters, we’d love to talk to you.
We have an experienced social media coordinator who will help to launch our initial online campaign by researching the target market, creating prototype posts, and guiding your efforts as needed. Our League mentors are available to provide information and training to better understand the mission and goals of the League. Once the project is complete, we will schedule/launch our campaign using Social Pilot to draft, review, revise, and collaborate among our team members.
