Our nonprofit is looking for a volunteer who can design graphics promoting our new resource "Higher Meals: Improving Food Security for Collegiate Georgians". Specifically, we need graphics shareable on social media and as a shareable two-pager.

The social media templates will be for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We will add statistics to the templates and information to apply for the program. The 2-page report will be an overview of the food insecurity issue that Collegiate Georgians face and educate them on the current SNAP (food stamps) exemptions for students.

The graphic designer who picks this project will help us improve food security for Collegiate Georgians. Currently, it costs at least $400 per month to buy groceries. College students who work part-time may make $1,200 each month, and they are left with the financial burden of rent, groceries, and gas, leaving them with no money unless they have their parent's financial support. Because of this, we are partnering with fast food restaurants and grocery stores to provide free meals to Collegiate Georgians. We are also educating them on the current SNAP student exemptions, so they can get food stamps to help lessen their grocery bill. Thank you in advance to the graphic designer who will help us create the social media graphics and report to communicate this resource to Georgia college students.

We have a defined branding guide that the graphic designer will follow. We also use a digital media calendar to plan our social media posts. The 2-page report will be shared Georgia colleges and universities across the state to help educate them on the current SNAP benefits.

The Higher Foundation promotes post-secondary education by providing financial assistance to Georgia college students. We help Collegiate Georgians cover their cost-of-living expenses with our need-based grants and merit-based scholarships. Since May 2018, we have served over 1,000 Georgia college students and awarded nearly $40,000 in grants & scholarships. With our services, we aim to help Georgia college students overcome post-secondary educational attainment barriers, so they can go higher in their education and career.
