As a small nonprofit in need of funding, we’d like feedback and guidance in developing a comprehensive, integrated Fall Fundraising campaign (GiveMN Nov 16, Giving Tuesday Nov 28 and End of Year) for our GiveMN (aka Give to the Max, thru Mighty Cause) Campaign

We currently utilize the following channels: Substack, newsletter, website, 4 social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter), emails and individual asks. We’d like to refine our existing messaging, including unique capabilities and programming, impact and motivating calls to action. We also would like help with the copywriting and selection of imaging, possibly including some ideas for social media. Our President has several thousand friends on Facebook and LinkedIn that we’d like to reach, along with many potential major donors. If this is a success, we would be interested in exploring paid consulting. Finally, we’re trying to assess whether we should offer some type of e-gift for certain levels of donations.

The Alliance for Sustainability is a small nonprofit founded in 1983 by visionaries from around the world to co-create sustainability on a personal, organizational and planetary level. We envision a healthy, just, equitable, thriving, kind and peaceful world that works for everyone, fulfills their fundamental needs and realizes our greatest dreams and vision of sustainability.

We’ve successfully supported organic agriculture, fought toxics, protected water, addressed worker rights, called for corporate responsibility and created Resilient Cities and Communities.

However, in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, the climate crisis and the anti-democracy movement, we felt the urgent need to reevaluate our efforts and scale our work to have greater impact. Consequently, we created our Campaign for Sustainability, Health, Equity and Kindness (S.H.E. Kindness).

Our goal is to bring about fundamental systems change through personal and organizational transformation and impactful public policy. We’re seeking to engage more than a million aligned people and organizations to build a powerful alliance to achieve our goal. To accomplish this, we’ve created four programs: Public Policy, Business, Akepa Youth & Schools and Outreach and Communications for Impact.

We have developed and uploaded the basic pitch on GiveMN and welcome feedback. We have given some promotional teasers in our weekly e-Newsletter. We’ve been updating our webpages and have developed a new Friends Program. We have a diverse team of staff (1 full-time volunteer President who’s a co-founder and a 75% FTE Communications Coordinator), plus 8-15 college student interns and Board volunteers from across the country that are all willing and eager to move forward with your professional guidance. Ideally, we would meet as soon as possible to get your feedback and suggestions, which we can then implement. If possible, we would welcome any assistance you could provide over the next two months and we progress with implementation. Our Programs are ready to go as soon as we can get adequate funding. Below we specified 6-9 weeks, but we’d be happy if we could just have several meetings to get your guidance.
