Data Clean Up
Our nonprofit is seeking a volunteer to help us create a mailing list for our end of year fundraising appeal. This project will involve pulling contact information from Salesforce and filling out appropriate column in our bulk mailing spreadsheet. Duplicates need to be merged and deleted.
We are sending out a direct mail campaign for our annual appeal as one of our major fundraisers. These donations help us sustain our programming for the future. We want to take advantage of the nonprofit bulk mail discount that we have achieved. Direct mail is still a viable strategy to reach out to our constituents, when there is so much email and social media competition. Our donors also tend to be on the older side and direct mail is their preferred method of outreach.
A physical letter allows us to have a greater impact on our donors, especially those that have lapsed in recent years.
In this very busy end of the year season, we are pressed for time with our other in-person fundraiser in November. Our goal is to have these letters to our donors right after Thanksgiving, in time for Giving Tuesday. A volunteer will greatly help our small and mighty staff of four. The process has already been started and one of the staff members will also be working on the project.
The process has been started. The lists have been segmented in Excel. The main needs are to add the additional categories by searching for the contact information in Salesforce. Once the project is completed, we will be providing it to a third party mailing service to send and distribute our annual appeal direct mail campaign. A staff member will be available to train the volunteer as needed. This work can be performed remotely.
