We seek a web designer to audit and create a new structure and design for our nonprofit website. The website is currently hosted on https://pantheon.io/ and built on the WordPress platform. We would like the current website first evaluated for layout, user-friendliness, mobile readiness, content, and general look and feel. The website should incorporate our goals and consider our key audiences.

We would like you to present our team with your recommendations for improvements to help us maximize our site. We'll start with a briefing session where our team will share our goals and tell you about our target audiences and what we hope to achieve through our website. We'll collaborate to define our next steps and set a timeline.

Our work will take place over multiple meetings in six to nine weeks. In our first meeting, the volunteer should interview us about our desired features, our web capabilities, and our technical expertise. We'll engage in various check-ins, where a member or members of our team will provide feedback. The volunteer will audit our current site to create a draft of design options including wireframes, site structure, and other visual elements.

Restoration Plaza is a vital hub for community transformation, offering resources, programs, and support that empower individuals and families in underserved neighborhoods. This project aligns directly with our organization’s mission by enhancing our ability to effectively communicate with our stakeholders, engage our target audiences, and showcase our impact. A professionally designed and structured website will serve as a central hub for sharing our mission, programs, and successes, while also allowing us to connect with donors, partners, and volunteers in a more meaningful and accessible way.

Here's why your time and expertise matter:
Tangible Impact: Your work will directly help families access opportunities, inspire community pride, and attract vital resources to sustain our mission.
Creative Freedom: You’ll have the opportunity to shape the look, feel, and functionality of a platform that reflects the vibrancy of Restoration Plaza and our community.
Skill-Building and Collaboration: This project offers meaningful challenges and collaboration with a passionate team, providing both professional growth and personal fulfillment.
Lasting Legacy: Your contribution will have an enduring impact, touching thousands of lives as RestorationPlaza.org becomes a trusted portal for hope and transformation.

To prepare for the project, we can provide you with detail about our target audiences and our organization's goals, and how we measure success. We will provide access to the back-end of our website and Google Analytics. We also have a dedicated member of our team who will be responsible for supporting you throughout the project. We have already thought about and are prepared to brief you about our current website platform, budget restrictions for the build, our branding collaterals and norms, and information about our stakeholder groups and target audiences. We've also compiled some photos and have some language developed that we will share with you and samples of sites we like.
