Squarespace Website Redesign

Our organization is in the process of rebranding, and we are looking for a talented web designer who could help us give our current website a (much-needed) new look and feel. We use Squarespace and have never had the resources to dedicate to making the website look right, and as a result, our website does not reflect the importance of our work, and it gets in the way of our ability to meaningfully fundraise and achieve more impact. The project's deliverable is a draft of architecture and design concepts that we can easily share with a web developer volunteer at Taproot who could create the new site.

Our work will take place over multiple meetings in a time frame mutually agreed upon (depending on your capacity, though we'd prefer project completion in approximately 4-5 weeks so that we can move to the website development stage).

The Neurorights Foundation promotes innovation, protects human rights, and ensures the ethical development of neurotechnology (devices that can monitor and manipulate the human brain). Neurotechnologies offer tremendous scientific and social opportunities, but also grave risks to privacy and safety, and could potentially change what it means to be human. We want to help ensure this emerging technology is leveraged for social good and is not used to increase power or control over people, and are in the process of scaling up our small organization with a rigorous process of building organizational capacity, hiring a diverse team, and achieving greater impact. However, our website gets in the way of potential funders and collaborators, so this would directly help our impact grow!

We are working with a fabulous creative director on branding: he has put together a brand proposal and gathered all the necessary components (ie. logo, typography, stock imagery, etc.). Our team will put together the wording and materials that would go on each page. We also have a list of sample websites that we like the look of. What we need is help with making it all work together and making it pop on the page!
