Logo Design

The MIT PKG Public Service Center needs a new logo and aligned branding for individual programs.

We need a logo and related branding that reflects the full range of what we do. "Public Service" is associated with volunteerism and government work, neither of which we do. Our approach to public service education is far more rigorous and comprehensive: we offer social entrepreneurship incubator, for example, and educational programming in social change strategy. We will have a new strategic plan completed in May and want our branded design to reflect what we do. Our current logo and aesthetic is juvenile, and in the absence of bran guidelines, individual programs have their own logo that is not aligned with the Center's logo. We need a single branded logo, with design guidelines for all of programming.

Our team of 8 full-time staff is committed to a rebrand. We are completing a strategic plan in May, and are renaming the Center to the PKG Center for Social Impact. Over the summer, we have set aside time to overhaul our website entirely to reflect the new strategic plan. But first we need a new logo. I am the Center's director, and you will work directly with me, and with my colleagues responsible for communication.
