Support Search for Executive Director of Library Foundation

I'm the Vice-Chair of the Redwood City Library Foundation, a non-profit that raises money and awareness for the Redwood City Public Library. Our current Executive Director (ED) will be leaving in the next 8-12 months. We are going to start looking for a new ED (or similar) and require assistance finding the right person for this role.

We're asking for guidance on our overall recruitment strategy, drafting a job description, and lastly to understand where to advertise the position.

The ED is a critical part of our team and manages day to day operations, logistics, board development, and most importantly fund raising. Our current ED is amazing, we would like to find someone equally amazing to help maintain the success of our organization.

Our entire board is committed and willing to start this search now since it will take time to find the right person to be the ED. This is our first pro bono project and we're excited to try this out and work with you!
