Create a Strategic Branding and Audience Engagement Plan
We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help us develop a strategic branding and engagement plan that will guide HIGHER’s awareness-building and relationship efforts for the long term.
This strategic document will:
• Clarify our brand positioning, messaging pillars, and tone of voice.
• Define how we want to be perceived by different key audiences (participants, donors, partners, the broader community).
• Identify engagement goals for each audience segment.
• Outline relationship-building strategies and content themes that support long-term growth and loyalty.
Specifically, the volunteer will assist us with:
• Reviewing our current branding and outreach efforts.
• Helping articulate and refine our brand positioning and key messages.
• Segmenting audiences and defining tailored engagement approaches.
• Creating a strategic framework document we can use to guide future marketing, communications, and partnerships.
We expect the project will require approximately 2–5 hours per week over 8–10 weeks.
At HIGHER, our mission is to help women rise — from crisis to leadership, from surviving to thriving. We offer free coaching, community, and holistic leadership programs to women overcoming systemic barriers, trauma, and adversity.
To scale our impact, it’s crucial that our brand identity and outreach efforts are clear, resonant, and strategic. We must engage both the women we serve and the supporters who make our work possible.
By helping us develop a strategic branding and engagement plan, the volunteer will help us:
• Sharpen our voice and message in the world.
• Build stronger, longer-lasting relationships with key audiences.
• Grow awareness of HIGHER’s programs and mission.
• Ultimately, reach and empower more women to transform their lives.
Our volunteer’s contribution will have a lasting, foundational impact on how HIGHER grows for years to come.
Our leadership team is fully aligned and enthusiastic about refining our brand strategy and audience engagement plan. We have already gathered materials, including:
• Mission, vision, and values documents.
• Current branding assets (logos, messaging samples, program descriptions).
• Audience profiles based on our work with past cohorts.
We will provide the volunteer with:
• Access to key staff for interviews and brand insight gathering, if needed.
• A designated point of contact committed to weekly check-ins and rapid feedback.
• Decision-making authority to keep the project moving smoothly.
This branding and engagement strategy will become an internal reference document, helping guide all external communications and relationship-building efforts moving forward.
