Website Revamp for St. Mary's Legacy Clinic

St. Mary's Legacy Clinic is a 501 (c)3 organization that provides free medical care to individuals without health insurance. We are looking to redesign our website to modernize its look and make it easier for potential patients to navigate the website, as well as volunteers and donors. We are a very small organization with a limited budget, as all of the healthcare services we provide are 100% free of cost. We seek a professional website designer to aid us in our mission and create a modern website that fits our goals and holistic approach to healthcare. We are a faith-based organization, but we do not discriminate against any individual, volunteer, or patient based on religious affiliation, nor do we share any religious materials/agenda at our clinics.

We are a small organization but have a significant impact on the patients we serve. We provide free primary care, and we have strong community partnerships that provide social support and advanced medical care. We provide prescription medication assistance. Outside of clinic days, we support patients via telehealth appointments. We provide free health education, offering nutrition information and lifestyle changes to support healthier lives. Through our partnerships, we provide advance care like diagnostic testing, surgeries and cancer screenings. We ask all our patients if they have any housing, clothing, and/or food needs and connect them with resources in their community to help them. We partner with the Tennessee Career Center to find patients job opportunities who may need it. Paperwork for services can be quite overwhelming and cumbersome, so our Patient Navigator works one-on-one with patients to fill out and submit forms with patients in order to get the care they need. Patients often compliment how "cared for" and supported they feel from our staff and volunteers at St. Mary's Legacy Clinic (SMLC). It is why so many of our volunteers come back year after year, many of which have supported us for over a decade! We also partner with local nursing colleges, and many nursing students get their clinical hours with us. It is a unique place for nursing students because they work side-by-side with providers with decades of experience in a nurturing environment, which is unlike many other clinical locations.

The majority of our patients are low income and have nowhere else to go to receive medical care. Our state offers no health insurance umbrella for individuals over 18 but not yet old enough to receive Medicare (65), and many of our patients cannot afford the Medicare monthly charges. We also serve several groups of people who fall through various cracks in our healthcare system. All of the care we provide would be supported by a new website.

We have had a website evaluation by a third party that we can share with you. We have a list of major changes/improvements we would like to see with our website, and we have plenty of written material and photos to use, while giving you creative space to work your magic! We also have branding materials and norms, budget restrictions for the build, and information about our stakeholder groups and target audiences. We also have examples of websites we like to model after, if needed.

We have grown a lot these last few years, and our website has to be updated to fit our current needs. We want more patients to find us, and when they do, to easily navigate our website. We want to showcase the strength of our programming and the impact we make. We also want volunteers and interested parties to be able to sign up for our newsletter, and donors to read our impact and donate online. We have a lot of great material on our current website, https://www.smlcares.com, but as we have added to it over the years, it has a lot of tendrils on it that can be streamlined into simpler pages and modernized the look.
