Communications Strategy And Analysis
Our nonprofit needs support crafting a templated communications plan. We hope to use this framework for future program initiatives, fundraising events, or crisis situations.
We need your expertise to communicate big moments for our nonprofit clearly, concisely, and consistently. We are looking for a skilled communications professional to:
-Create a checklist to guide your organization through the who, what, when, and how of sharing program updates, internal shifts, or responses to current events
-This checklist should pull in all the various channels that our nonprofit should use to reach staff, users, clients, volunteers, or funders so we have a standardized plan for outreach
-The templated communications plan should take into account our current marketing tools and staff availability
This project should take from 12-24 hours to complete. We're hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2-5 hours of their time per week.
We have been making an impact in the community for nearly 10 years. It's beyond time to elevate our communications and move toward increasing and expanding our team. We have to make ourselves more visible and we desperately need help.
Help Us Inspire the Next Generation of Leaders—One Message at a Time
At iD.A.Y.dream (Interactive Developing Aspired Youth), we believe that every young person deserves to be seen, heard, and supported on their journey toward becoming confident, purpose-driven leaders. Through our programs—like the Success Dreamers Leadership Academy—we empower youth ages 12–18 with mentorship, college and career access, life skills training, and meaningful opportunities to lead and give back to their communities.
But in order to reach more youth, engage more families, and amplify the voices of our Dreamers, we need to tell our story in a bold, clear, and inspiring way.
That’s where you come in.
We’re seeking volunteers to help create a communications plan that will sharpen our message, expand our reach, and elevate our impact. Whether you’re a marketing pro, a strategic thinker, or someone who’s passionate about storytelling and youth development—your skills will directly help us:
Recruit more students who need what we offer
Attract committed mentors and partners to support our work
Secure funding that sustains and expands our programs
Build stronger community awareness of how we’re changing lives
By volunteering your time and talents, you’re not just building a plan—you’re helping a young person discover their potential, chart a course for their future, and dream out loud in a world that needs their voice.
Join us. Let’s build something that speaks volumes—for the youth we serve and the future they’re shaping.

To prepare for the creation of this communications checklist, we have taken stock of existing email, PR, or social media tactics that have worked well for our team in the past. We will implement the results of this project by preparing and planning for our 10 year anniversary happening next year.
