Grant Proposal Review
We are a small nonprofit dedicated to international protective accompaniment in Colombia. We are in desperate need of some help reviewing grants, due to our small size!
To implement this grant writing project, we'll need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy and review the application draft with you. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our document using the track changes function checking for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and creates a list of recommended changes to share with us. The project will conclude after up to two rounds of edits which the volunteer will make the agreed-upon changes to the document.
We believe in our work and we know you will too. Now, we need help reaching out to new funders!
We are a small but mighty organization—and every contribution, whether time, energy, or funding, directly supports life-saving work. Our on-the-ground team consists of just 2 to 3 Human Rights Accompaniers living in Colombia. These dedicated individuals travel to some of the most remote and vulnerable rural communities to offer protective support to local leaders, organizations, and civilians who face grave threats due to ongoing violence and conflict.
These accompaniers don’t act alone—they are deeply tied to a vibrant international network that includes volunteers, governments, embassies, and human rights organizations. Through consistent and meaningful communication, this global community helps amplify voices from the ground and provide critical advocacy, visibility, and solidarity.
This project bridges continents. It uplifts communities in rural Colombia who might otherwise be left without support, and it activates an international network of volunteers and advocates who care deeply about justice and peace. Volunteers who support this project are helping to create real, tangible impact—from protecting lives in conflict zones to contributing to a growing global movement for human rights.
And there is something profound happening in these rural communities: they are building peace in ways that are courageous, creative, and deeply rooted in collective strength. We believe the world needs more peacemakers—and by joining this project, you become one of them.
We have three team members who are focused on grant writing at this time. This includes generating ideas, researching grants and foundations, and the writing and editing process. However, none of us are experts -- that's where you come in!
We also have a board of directors who offer support and an ear for listening. Next week, we will have a brainstorming meeting with a few of our key advisors to generate new ideas and look for new sources of funding. From there, we will come up with a few new project ideas to present to potential funders.
We will then sit down with our writing team and put together a proposal. We will provide you with this document afterwards, in an easily shareable format. We'll also send you the proposal and application guidelines.
