Fundraising Strategy For Special Initiative
I’m seeking a Taproot volunteer to help me strategize and build an effective fundraising plan for my nonprofit’s upcoming College Kickoff Kits initiative. My organization, Blessed on Purpose, is a 501c3 nonprofit that supports young girls through mentorship, emotional healing, and college and career readiness.
This project is focused on raising funds to provide graduating high school senior girls with dorm essential kits as they prepare to head off to college. The kits include items like bedding, laundry hampers, pillows, and hygiene supplies—things many first-generation students often go without.
I’d love support from a volunteer who can help me develop fundraising methods that align with our audience and mission. This could include:
• Identifying creative ways to reach individual donors and local sponsors
• Drafting compelling donor messaging
• Structuring a timeline and outreach plan
• Providing feedback on our flyer and fundraising materials
• Exploring opportunities for social media campaigns or small events
Having a partner to help me think through a fundraising strategy I can execute with a small team would make a big impact as we aim to meet our donation goals by early July.
Thank you for considering partnering with us on this project. Here’s how your skills and time will make a tangible impact:
My nonprofit, Blessed on Purpose, is dedicated to empowering young women through mentorship, emotional healing, and college and career readiness. We’re preparing for our College Kickoff Kits initiative—a project designed to provide graduating high school seniors with essential dorm supplies as they transition to college. These kits, packed with bedding, laundry hampers, hygiene necessities, and more, will ease the financial burden on first-generation and under-resourced students and give them a confident start on their academic journey.
Your pro bono support in strategizing innovative fundraising methods is crucial. By working together on this project, you will help us:
• Develop creative, targeted fundraising campaigns that resonate with donors in our community
• Build a clear, actionable outreach strategy that brings in essential funds and resources
• Enhance our communication materials to inspire local businesses, educators, and community members to get involved
We have already prepared a strong foundation: our internal team is behind this initiative, all necessary materials are in place, and we’ve set a realistic timeline leading up to our early July fundraising deadline. Your guidance and expertise will be directly implemented by our team to secure the donations needed for this life-changing project.
Imagine the impact: your support will help lift barriers for young women stepping into higher education by ensuring they have the basics they need to thrive in their new environment. Together, we can transform the college experience for these bright, determined students and help them build a future filled with promise.
Join us in making a lasting difference. Your time and talents will have a real, measurable impact on our community, and I look forward to collaborating with you to help these deserving students start their next chapter with confidence and support.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to empower our future leaders.
I’m fully committed to making the most of this pro bono partnership and have already taken several steps to prepare for this work. As the founder of Blessed on Purpose, I’ve gathered all relevant materials for the College Kickoff Kits campaign, including our sponsorship flyer, donation platforms (CashApp, Venmo, and Givebutter), and social media content. I’ve also secured internal buy-in and support from our small team and volunteers, who are ready to help implement the strategies we develop together.
We’ve already identified a clear timeline and goals for the project, and we’re prepared to begin outreach as soon as the plan is in place. I’ve previously worked with a Taproot volunteer for our website design and had a great experience. I understand the process and am committed to clear communication, timely follow-through, and making sure your time and expertise are put to good use.
Any strategies, templates, or tools we build together will be put into action immediately as we work to meet our July fundraising deadline. I truly value your partnership and am excited to learn from your expertise.
