We are seeking a volunteer to support us in crafting compelling, mission-aligned grant proposals to sustain and expand the Wellness Collective’s holistic health programming. Specifically, we hope to partner with a volunteer skilled in grantwriting to:

Research and identify relevant grant opportunities aligned with our mission of promoting equitable access to wellness.

Draft persuasive narratives, budgets, and supporting documents for upcoming grant applications (both general operating and program-specific).

Create a reusable grant template library (language for mission, programs, impact, budget narratives, etc.) to streamline our future submissions.

Help us develop a grant calendar with clear deadlines and submission guidelines.

The goal is to strengthen our organizational capacity to secure sustainable funding for our current and future programming—including mental health workshops, trauma-informed movement, nutrition education, peer support groups, and accessible community wellness events.

The Wellness Collective exists to ensure that all people in the Moab community—especially those navigating trauma, recovery, or financial hardship—can access resources that support their mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Our programs are built on values of compassion, resilience, and inclusivity, and they reach individuals who are often overlooked by mainstream healthcare systems.

Grant funding is essential to making our work accessible and sustainable. By working with a Taproot volunteer, we’ll be able to secure resources to expand:

Free and low-cost mental health programming

Community-driven wellness events like the Thrive Fair

Nutrition and food access initiatives like our Meal Support Circle

Trauma-informed yoga, peer support, and movement classes

Culturally inclusive offerings for Indigenous and Latino community members

This project will directly empower our team to focus on serving people—while ensuring we have the tools to communicate our impact clearly and powerfully to funders. A skilled volunteer will help us turn our story into sustainable support for real lives touched by our work.

My team and I have prepared for this project by:

Gathering existing grant language, past applications, and program descriptions into a centralized Google folder.

Completing 6 successful grants over the past two years, which provide a strong foundation of raw content to refine.

Mapping out our core funding priorities for the next 12 months, including specific program needs and target populations.

Securing internal alignment among staff and board members on our grant goals and areas of growth.

Establishing systems (including a Google Drive) to track deadlines, submissions, and funder communications.

We are deeply committed to making this a collaborative and organized experience for our Taproot partner. We will provide timely feedback, access to relevant materials, and a clear timeline of tasks. The final deliverables will be actively used in upcoming applications—including several foundation proposals, and potential state-level funding opportunities.
