We created an informal association for our annual fundraiser. We now need to make that fundraiser it's own nonprofit. It has outgrown our expectations and our parent organization would like it out from under their EIN.

Our parent organization is the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. It is a youth-run organization. The girls run most of this big fundraiser and learn skills that will help them in their adult lives as well as give them confidence in their abilities. The girls are ages 10-21, and we have an adult advisory board to guide them on their way - but they pick their own projects and charities and lead their own business meetings. Any help provided will help them continue this fundraiser.

We have organized this as an informal association with it's own bank account to track the accounting. We have an adult President (me), a Secretary, and a Treasurer, but none of us knows how to create this new nonprofit properly.
