We need someone to maintain our bookkeeping/accounting systems on a quarterly basis (estimated 4-8 hours/quarter). We urgently need someone to help do our Q2 books ahead of our board meeting on July 25th, since our last accountant fell through!
We are a small non profit that works directly with an indigenous Maya community in Guatemala, empowering them on their journey to food sovereignty through ecological agriculture. As an entirely volunteer led organization, we have extremely low overhead costs. 95%+ of our donations go directly to the community. This accounting volunteer will help us maintain a low overhead!
We have an accounting system already set up. We will send you our balance statements (Bank, Paypal, Donor platforms, etc) & need you to update our books to prepare for our board meeting.

We're devoted to community-driven environmental work. CIELO is a non-profit organization that supports environmental and community health initiatives. CIELO’s first partner is CEPC Toliman, a community-focused permaculture initiative in rural Guatemala founded and run entirely by indigenous Maya-Kaqchikel people. They are dedicated to protecting the environment and empowering the local community through ecological agriculture projects and training.
