Website Design: WordPress & Divi

We are seeking a web designer to help us enhance the visual appeal and user-friendliness of our current website. We are currently hosting our site on WordPress.com, and it uses Divi.

We are aware of some speed issues on the site. The volunteer should have the ability to clean up unused plugins and replace them as needed to improve these issues. The project's deliverable is a clean, branded, and easy-to-navigate site.

Our work will be conducted over multiple meetings spanning nine to twelve weeks. During our first meeting, we will discuss our needs, desired features, and brand. Then, the volunteer will create a plan for addressing each section of the site. We'll engage in various check-ins to discuss their content and graphic needs as well as provide feedback on the design updates made to our staging site. Once complete, the live site will be updated.

Broward House is one of the oldest and largest programs in Broward County, serving individuals living with HIV. South Florida has the largest number of new HIV infections in the nation. We need to reach and help as many people as possible. This means increasing our outreach and increasing our visibility in the community. It is also more critical than ever that we grow our donor and volunteer bases and become less reliant on grants to fund our programs and residences. The website this volunteer helps create will serve as the hub for our content, reaching and inspiring donors, volunteers, and clients in need.

Updating our site is a work in progress. A major content overhaul has already been done. However, we were not completely satisfied with the site's appearance, and the previous person did not complete some necessary components. We are prepared to bring you up to date with the process, our branding, and information about our stakeholder groups and target audiences. We've already compiled photos and developed language that we will share with you, along with samples of sites we like.
