We are looking for a volunteer to help us turn our language access policy into a concrete plan of action. The goal is to create a practical roadmap for delivering language services across the organization. The volunteer will:

- Create an Implementation Roadmap: Develop a step-by-step plan for providing interpretation and translation services.

- Identify & Vet Resources: Research and recommend language service providers and translation tools to complement our existing resources (we currently have a contract with Language Line).

- Outline Key Processes: Propose a plan for training staff on new procedures and identify a priority list of essential documents that require translation.
This project is essential for operationalizing our commitment to equity. It provides the "how-to" guide for our team, ensuring we can effectively and consistently provide high-quality language assistance. By developing a clear implementation plan, we can expand our reach, better collaborate with community partners, and ensure more survivors of trafficking can access the support they need to thrive.
We are committed to putting this plan into practice. This project will begin once our Language Access Policy is complete, and we will provide that document to the volunteer as the starting point. A dedicated staff member will be available to answer questions about our programs and workflows. We have secured leadership buy-in and are ready to schedule regular check-in meetings to support the volunteer's work.
