We need a volunteer to help us create a common language for how we track our work across different programs. The goal is to standardize what we measure so we can tell a cohesive story of our impact. The volunteer will:

- Standardize Data Definitions: Work with staff to create consistent definitions for key activities (e.g., what counts as a "training" or "attendee").

- Define Core Metrics: Establish a clear, unified list of metrics to track across the organization, such as the number of trainings held, event attendees, publications created, and dollars raised.

- Create a 'Data Dictionary': Develop a simple document that defines each metric, creating a "menu" of data points for all programs to use consistently.
This project is the essential first step to truly understanding our collective impact. By standardizing how we measure our work, we can aggregate data and tell a powerful, unified story to funders and advocates. This will strengthen our ability to secure funding, improve our programs, and advocate more effectively for policies that help survivors of human trafficking thrive.
Our leadership team has prioritized this project to improve our impact reporting. We will provide a dedicated staff contact and make program managers available for input. The volunteer will have access to all relevant documents, including grant proposals, past reports, and our current (disparate) data collection tools. We are committed to adopting the new framework organization-wide.
