Change Me Foundation is seeking a skilled volunteer to help us strengthen our fundraising capacity and expand organizational partnerships that directly support our programs and initiatives. Our goal is to raise the critical funding needed to sustain and grow our impact in Broward County, ensuring that children, youth, families, and seniors have access to mental health resources, educational opportunities, and community support.

We would like the volunteer to work alongside our leadership team to develop actionable fundraising strategies, identify new potential funding streams, and craft materials that can be used to engage prospective donors, sponsors, and partners. Specifically, this project will focus on:

Researching and identifying prospective donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors aligned with our mission.

Developing a fundraising strategy with concrete steps to increase revenue over the next 1–3 years.

Creating a compelling case for support and key messaging that can be adapted for grant proposals, sponsorship packets, donor letters, and campaign appeals.

Advising on best practices for cultivating partnerships with corporations, small businesses, and community groups.

Helping us design a roadmap to expand individual donor engagement, including creative campaigns and stewardship practices.

Outlining realistic fundraising targets and activities to achieve them, with benchmarks that the organization can measure and track.

By the end of this project, we envision having a clear, practical fundraising plan with strategies, tools, and prospect lists that our board and staff can actively use to raise funds.
Change Me Foundation’s mission is to educate, advocate, and empower individuals, families, and underserved communities to reach their full potential. Since our founding, we have worked to create spaces and opportunities that meet the unique needs of children, adolescents, and families facing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. We do this through programs such as youth development, health and wellness workshops, advocacy, support groups, and community outreach initiatives like our annual Walk In My Shoes Children’s Mental Health 5K, Back-to-School Drives, and Thanksgiving and Holiday Giveaways.

This project will directly support our mission by equipping us with stronger fundraising systems that will allow us to reach more families, expand program capacity, and build long-term sustainability. When we raise more funds, we can:

Provide more children with school supplies, mentorship, and safe spaces to learn and grow.

Expand mental health support programs and advocacy campaigns that reduce stigma in minority and underserved communities.

Ensure that struggling families receive holiday meals, wellness resources, and year-round support.

Invest in program staff and volunteers who make direct impact on the ground every day.

By lending their expertise, the volunteer will be playing a vital role in strengthening the foundation of our organization. The strategies and tools created through this project will not only help us meet immediate needs but will also position us for future growth, ensuring that Change Me Foundation can continue turning trauma into success for years to come.
We are committed to ensuring that this project is successful and impactful. To do so, we will:

Provide the volunteer with access to relevant organizational data, past fundraising efforts, and information about our current funders, programs, and upcoming initiatives.

Share collateral materials such as sponsorship decks, donor letters, program budgets, and event outlines to give a full picture of our fundraising landscape.

Dedicate staff and board members to work alongside the volunteer, offering insights and quick feedback so the project moves forward efficiently.

Ensure regular check-ins and review sessions so that ideas can be tested, refined, and implemented in real time.

Commit to using the deliverables—whether a strategic fundraising plan, donor prospect list, or partnership outreach materials—as active tools that will guide our development work.

We have already completed initial brainstorming sessions to identify priority funding areas and have internal buy-in from both staff and the board. This means the volunteer’s recommendations will not sit on a shelf—they will immediately inform how we approach funders, apply for grants, and engage donors.

We are deeply committed to addressing the needs of underserved communities—children, youth, seniors, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness—by creating programs and services that promote resilience, wellness, and long-term success. We believe that every person deserves access to opportunities that foster growth, healing, and hope. Our work focuses on breaking cycles of trauma and stigma by turning lived challenges into pathways of empowerment. We collaborate with schools, faith-based institutions, community leaders, and local partners to ensure that families and youth have access to culturally relevant services that support their mental, emotional, and social well-being. Change Me Foundation stands as a pillar of support for those who need it most, transforming communities by inspiring resilience, promoting equity, and nurturing potential. Guided by our core values of compassion, collaboration, and commitment, we are dedicated to “Turning Trauma Into Success” and building stronger, healthier communities for generations to come.
