Social Media Content Creation & Strategy

We are seeking a volunteer to assist us in designing and producing content for our key social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. The goal is to build a content library that we can use over the next several months.

Specifically, we need assistance with the following tasks:

Develop a Content Calendar: Collaborate with our team to map out a 3-month content calendar that aligns with our strategic goals, including key dates and themes.

Create Engaging Visuals: Design and produce a variety of visual content, such as graphics, short videos, and infographics, that are optimized for each platform.

Draft Compelling Copy: Write clear and impactful text for social media posts, ensuring our messaging is consistent with the VPMMA brand and mission.

Analyze Performance: Provide guidance on best practices for tracking and analyzing content performance to help us understand what resonates with our audience.

Our organization is undergoing a facelift, and we need to refresh our social media presence to better connect with our target audience, which includes service members, veterans, and military spouses. We have a backlog of success stories, event announcements, and educational content from our blog that needs to be repackaged into shareable, visually appealing social media posts.

A volunteer's expertise will be crucial in helping us transform this raw material into polished content. We are hoping the volunteer can dedicate 2-5 hours per week for a limited number of weeks to help us build a content bank of at least 30-40 posts. This will include creating original graphics and copy for our social media channels, enabling us to post consistently and increase our engagement.

We are fully committed to making this a successful pro bono partnership. We have already taken the following steps to prepare for this project:

Internal Buy-In: Our leadership team is fully committed to this initiative and has allocated the necessary resources to support the volunteer.

Gathering Materials: We have already curated a significant amount of existing content, including high-resolution photos, a library of blog posts, and testimonials from our members. We also have a clear brand style guide that we will share with the volunteer.

Dedicated Point of Contact: Our marketing director will be the primary point of contact for the volunteer, providing prompt feedback and support to ensure a seamless workflow. We will also set up a shared drive with all necessary assets for easy access.

The content created during this project will be immediately implemented into our social media calendar, allowing us to post consistently and see an immediate increase in our online presence and engagement. We are excited about the positive impact this project will have on our ability to reach and serve our community.
