We need to hire a staff bookkeeper, but need your help preparing for the hire. Project deliverables will include:
- A concise assessment of current bookkeeping practices and controls
- A prioritized list of recommended corrections
- Ready-to-use bookkeeper job description template outlining core responsibilities, qualifications, and suggested performance expectations

Activities that are NOT in scope for this project:
- Ongoing bookkeeping support
- Accounting software set up

Improving bookkeeping and hiring clarity will strengthen financial stewardship so more resources support the mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and educate about cruelty-free living. You will help ensure funds are tracked and allocated effectively, amplifying direct care and education programs.

We will work collaboratively with the volunteer, provide required financial records and a designated staff point of contact, and be available for regular check-ins. Details about systems, access, and timeline will be provided during volunteer interviews to ensure smooth progress.
