Design for Impact: Transforming User Experience to Drive Engagement

We’re seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to help us reimagine and elevate the look, feel, and usability of our existing website so it truly reflects the heart of our mission and keeps visitors engaged from the moment they arrive. Our site is functional but needs a modern, intuitive design that tells our story clearly, encourages interaction, and improves the overall user journey.

The volunteer will support us by:

Auditing and Analyzing the Current Experience: Review the site’s existing structure, design, and user flows to identify areas for improvement.

Redesigning Key User Interfaces: Create modern, visually compelling layouts and components that enhance clarity, accessibility, and ease of use.

Optimizing Navigation and User Journeys: Simplify pathways so visitors can easily find programs, services, and ways to get involved.

Delivering a UI/UX Style Guide: Provide design documentation and best practices to guide our team’s future content and development updates.

With 2–5 hours a week over several weeks, your creativity and expertise will transform how people experience our website—turning casual visitors into active supporters and program participants.

An intuitive, engaging, and inspiring website experience is essential to fulfilling our mission of connecting vulnerable communities with education, wellness, and essential support services. A thoughtful UI/UX redesign will help us better communicate our story, guide users toward programs that meet their needs, and increase opportunities for engagement, donations, and partnerships.

This project will significantly strengthen how we reach and serve our audiences—ensuring more people access critical services, more supporters join our cause, and our impact continues to grow. By reshaping the way people interact with our digital platform, you’ll help transform lives and build stronger, more resilient communities.

We’ve laid a strong foundation for this project by gaining full leadership support and clarifying the key goals for the site’s redesign. Our team has compiled analytics, user feedback, and priorities to guide the creative process. We’ve also prepared brand assets, existing site content, and clear direction on the core messages we want the design to communicate.

You’ll work closely with a dedicated staff contact who will provide timely feedback, answer questions, and ensure a smooth collaborative process. Once the new designs are complete, our internal web and content team will integrate them into the site and manage ongoing updates, ensuring your work has a lasting and visible impact.
