Fueling the Future: Expanding Our Funding Through Grant Research
The volunteer will support us by:
Researching Funding Opportunities: Identify and compile a list of potential federal, state, local, and private grant opportunities aligned with our mission and programs.
Analyzing Funder Requirements: Review eligibility criteria, priorities, and submission deadlines to help us target the most promising prospects.
Organizing a Grant Database: Develop a tracking system to monitor deadlines, submission status, and reporting requirements for future use.
Laying the Groundwork for Future Proposals: Provide brief summaries or key information that will help our team craft competitive applications.
With just 2–5 hours a week over several weeks, your work will set the foundation for sustainable growth and allow us to strategically pursue funding opportunities that can transform lives.
Every new funding source you uncover has the potential to launch a new initiative, sustain a critical program, or deepen our impact. Your research will directly translate into more meals served, more families supported, and more lives transformed. In short, you won’t just be finding grants—you’ll be helping us build a stronger, more resilient future for the communities we serve.
You’ll collaborate with a dedicated staff contact who will provide feedback, answer questions, and help prioritize the most relevant opportunities. Once your research is complete, our internal team will use the findings to craft proposals and build relationships with potential funders—ensuring your work leads directly to actionable next steps.
