Powering People: Building a Strong Volunteer Program for Greater Impact

We’re seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Manager to help us design, strengthen, or scale our volunteer program so we can better mobilize community members in support of our mission. Volunteers are the heart of our work, and creating a strong system to recruit, train, and retain them is essential to expanding our reach and deepening our impact.

The volunteer will support us by:

Designing or Improving Volunteer Programs: Develop systems and processes for onboarding, training, scheduling, and engagement to ensure a smooth volunteer experience.

Creating Recruitment Strategies: Help us design effective outreach campaigns and materials to attract new volunteers who align with our mission.

Building Retention and Engagement Plans: Develop strategies to keep volunteers motivated, connected, and involved for the long term.

Documenting Best Practices: Provide guidelines, toolkits, or workflows to help our team manage the volunteer program sustainably after the project concludes.

With 2–5 hours per week over several weeks, your leadership will help us transform volunteer enthusiasm into organized action—multiplying our capacity to serve and creating a more powerful movement around our cause.
