Triage Cancer is a national, nonprofit that provides free education on the legal and practical issues that may impact individuals diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers, through events, materials, and resources. We are seeking a volunteer to help us identify grant and funding opportunities to support our mission.

Responsibilities would include researching potential funding sources that align with Triage Cancer’s mission, such as:
- Identifying grant opportunities
- Identifying sponsorship opportunities

This project is essential to Triage Cancer and the cancer community. In 2024, we reached more than one million people through our educational materials, TriageCancer.org, CancerFinances.org, educational blog, and newsletters. Given the challenging economic environment, it is more important than ever, to cast a wide net, in order for us to be able to continue to deliver our free programs and services.
We know that individuals with a cancer diagnosis and their caregivers have questions around finances, health insurance, employment rights, estate planning, and more. Our events and resources help individuals diagnosed with cancer, their caregivers, and their health care professionals, find answers to their questions. We hope you will consider volunteering with Triage Cancer to help us continue to provide free education and resources on the legal and practical issues that impact individuals diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers.
We have already identified grant opportunities with several industry partners and foundations. These opportunities are organized in a grant spreadsheet. We have created templates for the various programs and projects that we seek grant funding for and drafted support opportunities. While we are a small organization, we are prepared to commit time and energy to this project. We have extensive experience working remotely and the volunteer will be able to perform tasks remotely and with flexible hours.
