NexoAfrica is seeking a skilled volunteer to help us design and launch a structured business development and revenue generation framework to support the long-term sustainability of our nonprofit programs.

We are looking for support with:

Identifying and prioritizing revenue opportunities (corporate sponsorships, partnerships, program fees, and earned-revenue services)

Creating a business development strategy aligned with our mission and 2026 cohort programs

Developing outreach materials (sponsorship packages, pitch decks, email templates)

Designing a partner pipeline to track leads, conversations, and conversions

Establishing clear roles, goals, and metrics for a small business development team

The volunteer would collaborate closely with the founder to assess current efforts, recommend best-practice approaches, and help us implement practical tools using Google Workspace. The outcome of this project is a clear, repeatable revenue strategy and supporting materials that enable NexoAfrica to grow sustainably beyond grants and donations.
This project is directly tied to NexoAfrica’s mission of empowering young African professionals and committed allies by expanding access to mentorship, professional development, and global opportunities. A strong business development and revenue strategy will allow our organization to move from short-term, resource-constrained operations to sustainable, scalable programming that consistently serves our community.

By strengthening our revenue model and partnership pipeline, this project will enable NexoAfrica to fund industry-specific cohort programs, host career-building workshops, and expand mentorship opportunities that directly impact early-career professionals across the diaspora and the continent. Rather than relying solely on limited grants or ad-hoc fundraising, we will be able to build long-term partnerships with organizations aligned with our mission.

Volunteers supporting this project will help create the foundation that turns passion into lasting impact—ensuring that more young professionals gain access to networks, skills, and opportunities that accelerate their careers and strengthen global leadership pipeline.
NexoAfrica is well positioned to be a strong and engaged pro bono partner. We have secured internal buy-in from leadership and key team members around the need to build a sustainable business development and revenue strategy, and we have dedicated ownership of this project at the founder/executive level to ensure momentum and decision-making are not delayed.

In preparation for this work, we have clarified our core programs, target audiences, and upcoming 2026 cohort offerings, and we have begun organizing our tools and documentation within Google Workspace. We are ready to provide the volunteer with background materials including our mission and vision, program descriptions, existing partnership conversations, and early revenue ideas.

We will commit to regular weekly check-ins, timely feedback, and rapid implementation of recommendations. Project outcomes will be immediately integrated into our operations through outreach efforts, partner tracking, and internal playbooks, ensuring the volunteer’s work leads to real, lasting impact beyond the engagement.
