Grant Writing for an International Organization
Specifically, we are looking for support with:
Identifying 3–5 aligned grant opportunities (foundations, corporate philanthropy, and public-sector funders)
Developing core grant narratives that clearly articulate our mission, programs, and impact
Drafting or refining 1–2 priority grant applications for submission
Creating a grant calendar and tracking system to manage deadlines and reporting
The volunteer will work closely with the founder using Google Workspace tools. The outcome will be fundable proposals and a repeatable grant-writing framework that supports NexoAfrica’s long-term growth.
Through this project, NexoAfrica will be able to fund industry-specific cohort programs, workforce readiness workshops, mentorship pipelines, and policy-informed initiatives that address barriers to professional advancement. Strong grant narratives will also enable us to translate our engagement with global institutions—such as the World Bank, IMF, and UN-adjacent forums—into tangible resources for community-level impact.
Volunteers supporting this project will help unlock opportunities for young professionals who often lack access to networks, capital, and career guidance. Their expertise will directly contribute to programs that create measurable outcomes, including increased career placement, leadership development, and long-term economic empowerment.
In preparation, we have clearly defined our core programs, target populations, and 2026 cohort initiatives, and we have compiled foundational materials including organizational narratives, program descriptions, impact goals, and preliminary budgets. We have also established partnerships and engagement with global institutions and forums such as the World Bank, IMF, and UN-adjacent platforms, which provide strong contextual grounding for our work and funding priorities.
The volunteer will receive organized access to all materials through Google Workspace, participate in regular weekly check-ins, and receive prompt feedback. All deliverables will be immediately implemented into our fundraising operations through active grant submissions and a long-term grant tracking system, ensuring the volunteer’s contributions lead to sustained organizational capacity beyond the project timeline.
