Email Marketing & Supporter Engagement Strategy (Short-Term Project)

We are seeking to work with a skilled volunteer to develop a clear, simple email marketing and supporter engagement strategy that strengthens how we communicate with our community. The goal of this project is to design a structured, values-led approach to email communications that helps AMI build stronger relationships with supporters, share impact consistently, and engage our audience beyond moments of fundraising. The final deliverables will include a short-term email strategy, a realistic email cadence, and guidance on the types of emails AMI should prioritize, ensuring our communications feel intentional, human, and sustainable for a lean team.

A clear email engagement strategy will allow AMI to build trust, visibility, and long-term relationships with supporters, ensuring that fundraising and advocacy efforts are rooted in meaningful connection rather than reactive outreach. By improving how we tell our story and engage our audience, this project helps sustain the programs that support young leaders across Africa.

AMI has prepared intentionally for this engagement to ensure the volunteer’s time is well used and the outputs are implemented. Leadership buy-in has been secured to adopt the recommended email strategy, and internal points of contact have been identified to support collaboration and timely feedback. We will provide background materials, including program overviews, audience segments, past communications, and organizational priorities, to ground the strategy in AMI’s mission and capacity. Following the engagement, the email strategy will be integrated into our communications planning and used to guide supporter engagement and fundraising communications moving forward.
