We'd like to connect with a skilled volunteer to help us configure Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to exclude internal users from analytics reporting using agreed-upon filter rules (e.g., IP, role, or other identifiers) and track a small set of high-value events, such as site searches and key user interactions.

The volunteer will deliver a tested implementation on the site, along with concise documentation covering GTM tags, triggers, variables, and any deployment or maintenance steps needed by our team.

Nice to have (if time and expertise allow): A lightweight GA4 exploration or basic reporting view that demonstrates how to analyze the newly filtered data (e.g., site search usage, key user paths). A brief walkthrough or annotated screenshots to help non-technical team members understand how to access and interpret the tracked events.
Accurate analytics will help Healwise better understand what low-income help-seekers search for and how they use referral resources. Removing internal traffic and tracking searches will enable data-driven improvements to our connection and education efforts, so we can more effectively link people to affordable mental health services.
We will collaborate with the volunteer to provide necessary access to GA, GTM, and the site, align on and validate internal traffic definitions and event tracking requirements, test the setup using GA/GTM debug or staging modes, review and accept clear, handoff-ready documentation so the configuration can be maintained internally after the engagement.
