My goal for this Taproot Project is to have a short video created that explains and highlights different aspects of our mission and model of operation that can be used in presentations, linked to our website, or used in other settings. Photos and secondary video clips (B roll) could be shot and edited to use for social media posts. We ourselves take video and photos but it's often in between executing operational tasks. They don't fully capture all aspects of the work we do.
Video and still images communicate what we want the community at large to understand in a way that reading copy could never accomplish. We strive to raise people's awareness about what qualifies as a "school supply" so that they realize what surplus products they have on hand to donate. Publishing images and video of our volunteers is one way to express our appreciation for their contribution. The video and photos would have an immediate impact on how many people are aware of what we are trying to accomplish and the many ways they can contribute.
My team and I are clear about what we want to convey to a variety of viewers. The Operations Manager is an excellent amateur photographer and understands what's required to capture good images. We have news reports on our website which can be used as reference points and to generate ideas (see Media Mentions page, www.TeachersTeammates.org) but they were filmed by other entities for their goals so we cannot edit them for our purposes.

Organization Mission

Our mission is to ensure all K-12 students and teachers in Delaware County have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. We do this by engaging all stakeholders in education and repurposing and reusing dormant resources readily available to bridge the gap in educational resources. We want to demonstrate our encouragement, support and gratitude for the work of our teachers.
