We are looking for support with a focused set of grant-related tasks that will help us submit stronger proposals and build a more efficient grant process moving forward.

Over the course of the project, we’re hoping the volunteer can support us with a focused set of grant development tasks, such as:

1. Core grant materials development: Refine or help draft key reusable components like our organizational overview, program descriptions, impact language, and need statement

2. Narrative Writing support: Draft and polish reusable narratives and standard attachments. Including outcomes language.

3. Outcomes + evaluation alignment: Help us clearly define outcomes, indicators, and language that reflects the impact of our K–12 and community programming.

4. Simple grant system setup: Create a lightweight grant tracker + timeline that our team can maintain after the engagement, so we can stay organized and consistent

As a small nonprofit, we have big ideas and strong community impact - but limited staff time for researching, writing, and managing multiple grant submissions. Our goal is to come out of this collaboration not only with a few completed applications, but also with a set of strong, reusable grant templates and a clearer grant strategy that we can maintain long-term.
NALA Projects is ready to level up our funding game! With your support, we can secure the resources needed to expand our arts education and public programs for NYC youth, families, and communities. Stronger grants mean more workshops, more creative opportunities, and more students getting access to meaningful arts experiences they deserve.

You’ll help us tell our story clearly and powerfully so funders can see the real impact happening on the ground. In short: you bring the words, we bring the vision and together we help our community thrive through art. Thank you in advance!
We've already pulled together all of our existing materials, organizational language, and background documents so you can jump in without delays. NALA founders will be working directly with the volunteer, which means we are ready to make fast decisions, provide clear direction, and consistent communication. We've also mapped out the upcoming funding opportunities and deadlines, so the work we produce will be used immediately. Everything created through this project will go straight into our "grant vault" and strengthen our capacity for future submissions and applications.

Organization Mission

NALA Projects is a New York City–based 501(c)(3) organization committed to building a foundation for creative literacy and equitable access to the arts. At the heart of our work is the belief that all communities should have the infrastructure to fully participate in NYC's cultural and creative environment. We take a multi-platform approach offering curriculum-aligned educational resources, digital arts engagement, and impactful public art experiences to unite education, environment, and experience. We believe art is not just for museums or galleries, art is a powerful tool for learning, connection, and empowerment. By designing inclusive programs grounded in local stories, we bring people together in ways that are meaningful and lasting. From interactive arts education to immersive public installations, our projects are tailored to inspire the culturally rich and diverse communities of New York City. In leading arts integration programs for K–12 students, curating public installations, and designing cultural connections for families, NALA Projects makes art accessible and impactful. Through thoughtful partnerships and project management, we turn creative ideas to ones that serve the community first.
