We need a volunteer with experience in setting up an online bookkeeping system! We want to establish a simple but professional financial infrastructure:
• bookkeeping + expense tracking
• a structured budget
• forecasting for grants and sponsorships
• documentation for a fiscal sponsor and future auditors
• financial reporting we can use for growth
As interest in our programs grows, financial clarity and accountability becomes critical. Proper bookkeeping and budgeting allow us to confidently pursue grants, sponsorships, and youth programming partnerships that expand Black Girl Magic Day’s impact. This project helps ensure that the resources supporting girls will be managed responsibly and sustainably as we scale.
We will set this project up for success by providing full transparency into our current state, priorities, and future roadmap. The volunteer will receive leadership support, context on our funding strategy, and documentation of current expenses. We will align on the initial goals during week one, then move into a simple work plan with milestones. We are prepared to implement systems immediately and to make timely decisions so the volunteer’s work becomes usable and long-lasting. Communication will take place through scheduled check-ins, shared tools, and quick turnaround feedback to ensure progress and clarity throughout the engagement.
