We are seeking a skilled Taproot volunteer to support a strategic organizational readiness and fundability assessment. The goal is to review our current setup and identify practical improvements that will strengthen our ability to grow sustainably and secure institutional funding.

With volunteer support, we aim to assess key areas such as:
- Organizational structure and governance
- Program design and impact logic
- Strategic and business planning
- Fundraising and grant readiness (including European programs such as Horizon Europe)
- Mission, vision, and organizational positioning

The main outcome will be a clear, prioritized set of recommendations that COPELI can implement to improve credibility, scalability, and fundraising success. The project is designed for a 2–5 hour per week engagement over a limited number of weeks, with remote collaboration.
This project directly supports COPELI’s mission by strengthening the foundation needed to deliver long-term, community-led impact. By improving our organizational structure, program design, and funding readiness, we will be better equipped to expand sustainable initiatives for children and local communities.

Stronger systems, clearer positioning, and improved funding readiness will allow COPELI to access larger, more strategic funding opportunities, including institutional and public grants. This translates into greater stability, scalability, and impact—helping more children gain access to education, clean water, food security, and skills that promote independence.

Volunteers contributing to this project will play a key role not only in strengthening COPELI internally, but also in helping position the organization within broader funding and partnership ecosystems that enable long-term change.
COPELI’s leadership team is fully aligned on the need for this project and committed to implementing its outcomes. We are prepared to provide the volunteer with full access to relevant documentation, including internal processes, program descriptions, strategic plans, fundraising materials, and past proposals.

A dedicated point of contact will coordinate the project, ensure timely communication, and support decision-making. We will schedule regular check-ins, respect the volunteer’s time, and come to each session prepared.

The recommendations produced through this project will directly inform our strategic roadmap, fundraising strategy, and future grant applications. If appropriate and aligned with the volunteer’s comfort level, we also welcome strategic advice, introductions, or networking insights related to institutional donors, foundations, or funding ecosystems that could support COPELI’s long-term growth.

Organization Mission

COPELI partners with local communities to identify their needs and priorities, and create lasting solutions. By listening, facilitating, and providing access to resources, training, and infrastructure, we support locally led projects in areas such as clean water, nutrition, education, vocational skills, and safe community spaces. Our goal is to empower children and local leaders with the tools and autonomy they need to guide their own development and sustain positive change over time.
