My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a clear, actionable fundraising and business development strategy that will allow doobneek to scale nationally in a sustainable and mission-aligned way.

Specifically, I’m seeking support to:

-Clarify and prioritize funding pathways (foundations, individual donors, institutional philanthropy, partnerships, and/or earned revenue)
-Refine our value proposition for different audiences (funders, nonprofit partners, service providers)
-Develop a short- and medium-term fundraising roadmap with realistic milestones
-Identify potential strategic partnerships that align with our privacy-first, community-centered model
-Strengthen messaging and pitch language to support grant applications, donor conversations, and partnership outreach

The volunteer’s work will focus on strategy, structure, and positioning rather than execution-heavy tasks. The scope is designed to fit within 2–5 hours per week over a limited number of weeks, with clear deliverables and decision points.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping doobneek expand access to safe, dignified, and privacy-first tools for undocumented, immigrant, LGBTQIA2S+, and cash-earning communities across the United States.

This project will directly enable us to:
Secure sustainable funding to keep critical tools free or low-cost for people excluded from traditional systems
Scale nationally while maintaining strong ethical and privacy standards
Build partnerships with nonprofits and service providers who serve vulnerable communities
Reduce barriers to financial stability, legal navigation, and self-determination for people most impacted by systemic exclusion
The volunteer’s contribution will have a multiplier effect - strengthening the foundation that allows doobneek to reach more people, protect more data, and support communities that are often invisible in mainstream tech and philanthropy.
My team and I have prepared for this project by:

Developing a working product with defined features across financial tools, immigration support, and privacy infrastructure

Creating a national-facing pitch deck and narrative that articulates the problem, solution, and community impact

Clarifying our mission, target communities, and values around data protection, accessibility, and user dignity

Gathering existing materials including product documentation, user personas, and early partnership conversations

Identifying internal capacity for implementing the strategy outputs (including updating pitches, outreach materials, and grant plans)

I am deeply engaged, responsive, and prepared to collaborate closely with a volunteer partner. All recommendations and outputs from this project will be actively implemented and used to guide real fundraising and partnership efforts.
