We are seeking a volunteer to create a documented volunteer recruitment and onboarding plan for the 12-week lead-up to our season opening at the Apollo Victoria. The plan will include a recruitment timeline, volunteer role descriptions, an application/selection approach, onboarding and training schedule, communication templates, and a coordinator handoff. Details will be provided.
This plan will help Harlem Collective Opera staff the season opening with trained, welcoming volunteers, expanding audience access and community engagement. Volunteers will support performances and programs that preserve and advance African American cultural expression, create pathways for artists and students, and strengthen local arts leadership.
Details will be provided during a kickoff so volunteers can refine timelines and materials. The volunteer partner will collaborate with staff through regular check-ins to review existing assets and finalize role descriptions, templates, and training outlines so the team can immediately implement the plan for the season opening.
