My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a strategic 90-day donor outreach plan that includes: donor segmentation framework (individuals, corporations, aligned organizations), an outreach calendar with key activities and milestones, messaging guidelines for different donor types, recommended channels and tactics, and success metrics. We're an early-stage nonprofit with fundraising infrastructure in place (DonorBox, GiveButter, Platinum Candid seal), but need a systematic strategy to grow our grassroots donor base.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping us build sustainable grassroots funding to advance healthcare equity, traditional knowledge protection, and ethical AI. A strong donor outreach strategy will allow us to scale our flagship platform NeuroBotanica and expand our impact — ensuring botanical medicine is guided by science, ethics, and community benefit rather than corporate extraction.
My team and I have prepared for this project by: setting up our fundraising platforms (DonorBox, GiveButter), achieving Candid's 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency, registering with Benevity for corporate matching, drafting initial campaign messaging and donor explainer materials, and documenting our mission and value propositions. We have clear organizational goals and are ready to provide any background materials the volunteer needs.
