We already have an established WordPress website, but it is very extensive and has not been properly managed or updated in quite some time. I am looking for someone with WordPress expertise to help make edits and improvements so the site is more current, user-friendly, and easier to navigate. Volunteers are welcome to use the website work they complete as part of their professional portfolio.
I often say that I started The EPIC Foundation with a laptop and a dream. When the organization was incorporated, I was mostly bedridden myself. We are not a brick and mortar nonprofit, and our work is not limited to four walls. Because of this, our website is essential.

Many of the people who seek our support cannot easily leave their beds or homes. Our website is how people empower themselves, connect with other chronic illness warriors, validate their experiences, and feel heard. It is often their first and most important connection to us.
Our organization runs on 100% volunteerism, including my position. We are made up of fellow chronic illness warriors helping others like ourselves. I am a brain tumor survivor who currently lives with a life‑threatening illness, and that lived experience informs everything we do.

This is a fully virtual opportunity to help update and improve an existing WordPress website that plays a critical role in our mission. The site is dated simply because updates have been difficult to manage, and support from a skilled volunteer would make a meaningful difference.
