We'd like to connect with a skilled volunteer who can help us convert mud kitchen PDFs into CAD, complete CAD for nature carts and sand tables, and produce build-ready instructional plans for all three. Plans should be printable to scale, include a branded border with our logo, labeled parts lists, and basic but clear assembly steps. Original files will be provided; specifics can be defined with volunteers.
These build-ready plans will enable our team and community partners to construct durable outdoor play elements that expand access to nature-rich play for children. Volunteer contributions will directly support equitable outdoor learning, strengthen nature programming at early childhood sites, and help bring nature into more neighborhoods.
We have starter CAD drawings and PDF plans available to share and will provide source files and measurements. Our team will be available to answer questions and review drafts so final plans are build-ready. Further details, timeline, and deliverable format will be confirmed with volunteers during interviews.

Organization Mission

The research is clear: nature makes kids healthier, happier, and smarter. Spending time outdoors, in nature, is essential for children’s healthy development. Our goal is nature in every neighborhood and every park, to ensure all children in our city have access to outdoor spaces where they can learn, play, and grow. We are committed to strengthening efforts to advance equity in access to nature by increasing opportunities for nature-rich recreation and expanding nature programming at our early childhood centers, schools, and community centers. We also advocate for urban greening as an environmental and community health strategy.
