We are looking for a skilled volunteer to help us explore and model a potential new revenue stream that aligns with our mission. Atlanta is hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup, bringing global attention, massive influxes of visitors, and unparalleled civic energy to our city. This is our "generation's Olympics". We are seeking skilled Taproot volunteers to help us transform this 31-day event into a sustainable financial lifeline for our organization. Our goal is to create a diversified, high-impact revenue model that moves beyond traditional, one-off donations by launching a series of World Cup-themed fundraisers and a "Mission Ambassador" pageant event. We are looking for strategic, pro bono support to:
Develop a 2026 Revenue Plan: Structure a series of fundraisers (e.g., themed watch parties, soccer-inspired charity matches, or corporate-sponsored "Global Goals" pageant).

At the end of this engagement, we would like to develop a planning brief that details:

-Our ideal consumer base
-Initial investment and/or start-up costs
-Running costs for administering the new venture
-Pricing options
-Estimate of our break-even point (how much revenue we need to earn to cover start-up costs and costs of administration

The first stage of this project will involve brainstorming and presenting options based on similar models used by peer organizations. Following the presentation of these ideas, you'll come up with a more in-depth evaluation and potential plan for implementation.
Diversification: Shifts us from reliance on traditional, unpredictable grants to a sustainable, event-driven, and peer-to-peer model.
Visibility: Leverages the global spotlight on Atlanta to raise awareness for our cause among a new, diverse audience.
Capacity Building: Strengthens our internal capacity to run large-scale events, leaving us better equipped for future growth.
The Impact: A Sneak Peek for Volunteers
Volunteers, when you lend your strategy and marketing talents to this project, you are not just planning events—you are directly supporting underserved food insecurity recipients and residents in Jamaica trying to recover from hurricane Melissa

Here is the impact of your work:
Immediate Funding: The funds raised will allow us to double our Instacause Food Program through Instacart just in time for the 2026 influx, helping to address community needs amidst the city's growth.
Lasting Legacy: By diversifying our revenue, you ensure that our organization remains financially resilient, allowing us to support our community for years after the final whistle blows in 2026.

Join us in turning the 2026 World Cup into a lasting victory for our community.
To set this project up for success, we will provide access to relevant program data, current funding sources, and any preliminary ideas or research we've conducted. We will also ensure that key team members are available to provide context and feedback throughout the process.

To prepare for this project, we've done some initial brainstorming of potential service offerings that could generate revenue while advancing our mission and outlined our current cost structure and capacity.
