We're looking for a volunteer to help us create a workflow and guidelines to turn the content from our website into social media posts. Our goal is to increase awareness of our work, fundraise, attract volunteers, and provide another avenue for users to learn about their health.

We currently have social media volunteers who make posts based on ideas generated by our one staff member. Ideally, you'll help us improve this process and recommend ways to leverage our volunteers. You can see our current workflow here - https://healthed4everyone.org/social-media-team/
You will directly support our mission of providing everyone with the information they need to understand, manage, and advocate for their health. Social media is where many people get their health information, so you will help connect people who need help managing or navigating the health system with our resources.

Additionally, we need help communicating how our work is different than other sites. When people read our resources, they remark on how friendly, accessible, and helpful our writing and content is. But this isn't coming across until someone is on our website.
To prepare for the project, we will provide you with our site map, current social media channel handles, and a description of our current workflow. You will work with our executive director, so you'll get direct feedback and quick access to anything else you need. Meetings and the timeline can be based on your schedule.

Organization Mission

HealthEd 4 Everyone empowers everyone to understand and navigate their health with confidence. Almost half of Americans struggle with health literacy, and it gets harder when you're sick, scared, or worried about a loved one. We create free health education resources that explain what medical information means, what you can do about it, and ways to get the care you need. Our resources cover both health conditions and navigating the healthcare system, from preparing for appointments to knowing when something is an emergency. All resources are physician-reviewed and designed to work for people with different abilities and learning needs.
