Strategic Guidance on Building a Fundraising and Grants Pipeline
We are seeking support in developing a structured approach to nonprofit fundraising, including:
Identifying and prioritizing relevant grant opportunities (foundations, corporate, and institutional)
Creating a grant pipeline and application calendar
Drafting core grant language and reusable proposal templates
Refining our value proposition for funders and institutional partners
Advising on long-term revenue diversification strategies (grants, partnerships, and program-based funding)
This project will help transition NexoAfrica from early-stage growth into a more sustainable, fundable organization with clear pathways to scale.
NexoAfrica exists to bridge the gap between talent and access—connecting individuals to careers, capital, mentorship, and global institutions. A strong fundraising and grant strategy will allow us to:
Expand our cohort-based programming across multiple sectors
Provide more accessible and subsidized opportunities for participants
Build long-term partnerships with institutions aligned with our mission
Increase our reach and impact across diaspora and African communities
Ultimately, this project will help transform NexoAfrica from a growing platform into a sustainable ecosystem capable of driving long-term, scalable impact.
We have:
Built a comprehensive organizational deck outlining our mission, programming, and ecosystem model
Established early partnerships with institutions such as universities and global organizations
Launched initial programming across multiple sectors (finance, health, etc.)
Identified key funding needs and priority areas for growth
We will ensure the volunteer has everything needed to be successful, including:
Access to all relevant materials (deck, past programming, partnership context)
A clear point of contact and consistent communication (weekly check-ins)
Quick feedback cycles on drafts and strategy recommendations
Our team is committed to implementing the outputs of this project immediately, particularly in applying for grants and integrating the recommended fundraising strategy into our operations.
