Legacy Paws Rescue is a veteran-owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Catawba, NC. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs, operate immersive outdoor experiences, and create handcrafted educational products for children including Magical Mutts — a product line designed to teach empathy, dog safety, and emotional literacy — and specialty kits for children fighting cancer and children in foster care.

We have never applied for a grant. We don't know where to start. We need someone who does.

WHAT WE NEED:

PHASE 1 — GRANT RESEARCH (priority)
· Identify 10-15 grants we are realistically eligible for given our mission, size, location, and focus areas
· Priority funding categories: animal welfare, veteran causes, child development, community programming, North Carolina nonprofits
· Include local foundations (Catawba County, NC), national animal welfare funders, veteran-focused funders, and child/youth development funders
· Provide a grant calendar with deadlines and requirements

PHASE 2 — GRANT WRITING SUPPORT
· Help draft or review at least one grant application from the identified list
· Provide a reusable boilerplate narrative describing Legacy Paws Rescue's mission, programs, and impact that can be adapted for future applications
· Provide a one-page organizational summary suitable for grant applications
Legacy Paws Rescue has never received a grant. Not because we don't qualify — we cross multiple fundable categories that rarely appear together in a single organization. Animal welfare. Veteran causes. Child development. Experiential education. Foster care support. Pediatric oncology support. Community healing. We qualify for more grants than we know how to find.

That is exactly the problem your project solves.

Every grant you identify and help us apply for represents a direct investment in the community members this rescue serves. A veterinary care grant funds Dobby's recovery — a dog who survived a roadside abandonment and is learning, slowly and beautifully, what safety feels like. An animal welfare grant funds the next dog we take in — the one that would otherwise have nowhere to go. A child development grant funds the Magical Mutts kits that go to children in hospitals and foster placements who have nothing that is entirely theirs. A veteran causes grant funds the infrastructure of a rescue run by someone who served this country and is now serving her community.

These grants exist. The funders who give them are actively looking for organizations like ours. They want to fund a veteran-owned rescue that handmakes educational products for vulnerable children and runs immersive outdoor healing experiences in the NC foothills. That organization is us. We just don't know how to find them or how to make the case in the language they respond to.

You do. And the reusable grant narrative you build for us — the boilerplate organizational story that can be adapted for every future application — becomes a permanent asset that outlasts this single project. Every grant we receive in the next ten years will be built on the foundation you create now. That is the kind of impact that compounds. That is the kind of work that lasts.
We have our organizational documentation fully in order. We are a registered 501(c)(3) with a live website at legacypawsrescue.org, a complete program description across three mission streams, financial records available, and a Candid/GuideStar profile in progress. We have professional product photography, a documented brand identity, and a compelling set of program narratives already written and ready to adapt for grant applications.

We can provide a complete organizational briefing packet — mission, programs, budget, impact data, and founder bio — within 24 hours of matching. The founder will be available for a kick-off call within 48 hours and will respond to all communications same day throughout the project.

Every grant identified in the research phase will be reviewed and prioritized by the founder immediately. Every application drafted will be reviewed, approved, and submitted on deadline without exception. We are not a large organization with slow decision-making — when a grant deadline approaches, we meet it.

We also cross multiple fundable categories that rarely appear together in a single organization — animal welfare, veteran causes, child development, experiential education, foster care, and pediatric oncology support. This gives a skilled grant writer a genuinely strong hand to play. We just need someone to help us play it.
