We need a strong visual creative to help us develop a wordmark and define core elements of our visual brand (color palettes, typography, etc.), building from our existing logo. From there, we'd develop print and digital designs: letterhead, business cards, and basic data visualizations. Lastly, we'd create our organization's first brand book with these assets, keeping instructions and templates simple for use by staff and volunteers with limited design knowledge and skills. We would leave imagery, tone/voice, and other aspects of our brand for subsequent engagements and iterations of the brand guide.

We're looking for a volunteer who's excited by our mission of keeping homebound neighbors healthy, safe, and connected and has experience working with local direct-service organizations. Our small leadership team is new to the organization and moving quickly to modernize our operations and tools for engaging with our community. Although our program is five decades old, we are starting from a clean canvas in many ways.
Our Meals on Wheels program has been serving our community for 56 years, but we feel like a well-kept secret, in part due to the lack of a consistent brand strategy and visual identity. We're determined to increase our capacity to support the thousands of neighbors in our area -- seniors, people with disabilities, and other homebound adults -- who need healthy meals and human connection to live safely and with dignity in their own homes. We need your help to establish a brand that will allow us to reach more potential clients, attract enough volunteers to scale up our services, and inspire greater investments from private and public funders.
We'll share our branding goals, target audiences, and how the assets and products developed will fit into our operations. We'll bring our perspective on brands we like and those we compete with or want to distance ourselves from. Our current and past materials are available for reference, though we expect they will have minimal influence on our direction for the future.

During the interview process, we'll ask to see your portfolio and examples of your graphic designs, and we'd like to hear about the collaborative style and processes that have been most successful when you've teamed up with organizations our size.
