We have an idea for a new program our organization would like to start piloting. We would like to tap the assistance of someone with a background in program design to help create a step-by-step plan for building, executing and evaluating the impact of this pilot.

Our program design partner would help us define the program activities and create a logic model that outlines the cause-and-effect relationships between program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes. We would also define the human and financial resources (budget) required to implement the program, along with any monitoring and evaluation mechanisms necessary to assess the effectiveness of the program.

We want to pilot a non-communicable disease (NCD) (diabetes and hypertension) clinic in rural Kenya, East Africa. The poor in these areas lack access to care and medications. So the morbidity/mortality rates are high from NCDs. This project will help our organization fulfill its mission statement of advancing equitable access to quality healthcare in alignment with one of the United Nations SDG.

We understand that designing a new program is an iterative process and will commit to continuous learning, flexibility, and to providing direct, honest feedback. We view this program design process as a priority and will make all staff available along with information about our current programs and their beneficiaries.

We have prepared a cache of resources detailing our current programs and have already identified the need the new program will address, along with the target beneficiaries the program will reach.

Mission: Fulfill the Great Commandment; Matthew 22:39 – “Love your neighbor as yourself” by pouring out love and compassion to vulnerable and orphaned children globally. 1. Access to quality healthcare. • Conduct annual medical missions. • Build state of the art community hospitals and health centers in underserved areas. • Train qualified local medical personnel. • Supply and sustain availability of drugs, diagnostics, and vaccines. 2. Basic human needs. • Feed the hungry. (Food) • Build and/or sustain orphanages. (Shelter) • Import clothing via donations or locally made. (Clothing) 3. Access to quality education. • Build schools and/or libraries in underserved areas. 4. Poverty alleviation. • Empower the community by providing various trainings, education, and employment opportunities. Vision: Communities that prosper and are in good health even as their soul prosper.
