Graphic Design: Annual Impact Report
The volunteer will work collaboratively with our team to:
• Review and synthesize existing program data, reports, and participant stories
• Develop a clear structure and narrative arc for the report
• Draft and edit written content that is engaging, concise, and impact-driven
• Translate quantitative outcomes into accessible, compelling storytelling
• Provide recommendations for tone, messaging, and flow to ensure a polished final product
• Support layout and design, ensuring the report is visually engaging, accessible, and aligned with OBT’s brand
Project Structure & Timeline:
The engagement will take place over approximately 4–5 weeks (15–30 total hours) and will follow a structured, collaborative process:
• Session 1: Kickoff and brainstorm to align on key metrics, stories, and priorities
• Session 2: Review of preliminary draft and design concepts, with team feedback
• Sessions 3–4 (as needed): Iterative feedback and refinement
• Final Deliverable: A polished report (no more than 12 pages), delivered in both a shareable digital format and an editable working file for future updates
Our ideal volunteer has experience designing reports, brochures, or similar materials and can share examples of past work.
A strong, well-crafted and visually compelling report helps us:
• Secure critical funding to sustain and expand our programs
• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders
• Amplify the voices and successes of the individuals we serve
• Demonstrate the real-world impact of workforce development and community-building initiatives
By supporting this project, the volunteer will help ensure that the stories and achievements of our participants are clearly, powerfully, and professionally presented, ultimately helping OBT reach more individuals and create greater economic opportunity across our communities.
We will share our logo and visual branding guidelines to support the design process. Our team will take responsibility for writing the core copy, providing compelling data, identifying participant stories to highlight, and supplying images for inclusion. We have also gathered examples of impact reports we admire to help guide the creative direction.
Our team has secured internal alignment on the goals, messaging priorities, and intended audience for the report. The Chief Impact Officer will serve as the primary point of contact, providing timely feedback, answering questions, and ensuring the project stays on track. We will also establish clear milestones and check-ins aligned with the project phases to support collaboration and momentum.
Importantly, this report will be actively used by our development and communications teams for fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and external communications. The volunteer’s contributions will directly shape a final product that is widely shared and utilized across the organization.
