An intern built the foundation of our Softr vendor management app, connected to an Airtable backend. We need a volunteer to complete the remaining features, finalize configuration, and perform basic QA testing so it's ready to share with market vendors. Specifically, we need help with:

-Building out vendor application forms, automated status updates (approved, waitlisted, declined), a vendor portal with market schedule and booth assignments, and document upload for permits and certifications
-Ensuring Airtable integration syncs correctly across views and user roles
-Finalizing user permissions and polishing the interface design within Softr
-Performing basic QA testing across desktop and mobile
Our farmers markets in Harlem and the Bronx serve hundreds of families each season, connecting them to fresh, locally grown food. Right now, vendor onboarding and management runs on a patchwork of emails and spreadsheets — a completed vendor app will replace that with a reliable, centralized system that reduces administrative load and onboarding friction for the local farmers who make our markets possible. That operational lift directly frees up our small staff to focus on what matters most: community nutrition programming, youth education, and expanding food access in two of New York City's most underserved neighborhoods. A volunteer's technical skills won't just improve a workflow — they'll strengthen the infrastructure behind a community food system.
An intern completed the initial build, so volunteers will start from a working foundation rather than a blank slate. Before interviews, we will share the current app state, our Airtable structure, and a prioritized list of remaining features. Our team commits to weekly check-ins, timely feedback on changes, and hands-on validation testing before any vendor-facing rollout. We have internal buy-in from our market operations team, and a staff member will serve as the dedicated point of contact throughout the engagement.
